Choose an image to begin.
Next: read your image and choose how to use it.
STEP 1 OF 4
Start with your artwork.
Choose an image, tell us how you want to use it, then check what gets picked up.
Choose an image to begin.
Choose the purpose yourself. A photo, motif and pattern need different treatment.
Pick out the design
Selected colors become the design. Raise tolerance to include nearby shades.
Crop directly on your image on the right. Drag to select an area, move the selection, or drag its corners.
Photo brightness keeps the background and shadows. Use a prepared silhouette for an isolated subject.
STEP 2 OF 4
Arrange your pattern.
Set the roller size, arrange the artwork and inspect the joins.
Roller size
Both diameters need their matching rigid core.
Layout & spacing
A suggested crop is a starting point. Always inspect the repeated patch.
Whole groups fit around the roller. Source edges must still match. Mirroring matches edge values but can create pointed joins.
Position the artwork
Closing seam
A smooth band removes artwork near the join; it does not repair a repeating tile.
STEP 3 OF 4
Give it depth.
Adjust the surface while watching your roller and the mark it makes in clay.
Surface relief
Black on the wrap is raised on the roller. Gray is intermediate height.
Sleeve fit
Fit is untested. Print the small fit set before a full sleeve. Do not scale the STL.
STEP 4 OF 4
Ready to make it.
Review the checks, then download your sleeve and matching parts.
Your roller
Changing the artwork or settings updates the preview and invalidates old downloads.
Before you print
Export uses a finer 0.25 mm sampling grid and runs mesh checks again. STL units: millimeters.
A new sleeve. A matching core.
The old patterned barrel is replaced by a matching rigid core. Bearings stay in the rigid part; the TPU peels off for a different design.
Prototype · fit and clay performance need testing. Use the new inch-size handle and axle length from the guide. Bearings, spacers, covers and grips stay the same.
YOUR PRINTING SURFACE
Your 3-inch roller
Check that the lines and shapes you want are visible before continuing.
A first look in clay
Design pressed into clayRelief and reading direction are reversed from the roller. This is an idealized height preview; real clay, pressure and TPU flex change the result.
